Accountant

  JOB OBJECTIVE

To support the daily financial operations of a growing SaaS company through accurate preparation of the monthly financial statements, timely invoicing, and efficient management of accounts payable and receivable. This role will focus on maintaining clean and organized financial records, assisting with month-end close activities, and identifying opportunities to improve and streamline accounting processes. The Accountant will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate revenue tracking, support compliance efforts, and contribute to the smooth execution of core financial functions essential to a subscription-based business model.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Maintain and reconcile P&L and balance sheet accounts, including bank reconciliations, fixed assets, commissions, prepaids, and various accruals
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports
• Conduct monthly close processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely processing and accurate reporting
• Create and manage customer invoices thru Maxio 
• Propose and record journal entries as part of the month-end close
• Assist with budget preparation, financial forecasting, and provide insights to VP of Finance
• Implement and maintain effective accounting controls and procedures
• Serve as a key contact and support for external and internal audits; assist in audit preparations and respond to auditor inquiries
• Handle ad hoc financial projects and reporting requests as needed
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of  accounting experience
• Proven ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, and ambiguous environment
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel required
• Experience using: QuickBooks, Maxio/SaaSOptics, Salesforce, Carta, Avalara, Google Sheets and other key systems is a plus
• ASC 606 Knowledge is a plus but not a requirement
