ROLE OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Fractional Director of Growth Marketing to serve as the senior marketing leader for our organization. You will run and direct the marketing team day to day, own the function end to end, and sit at the leadership table as the strategic mind behind every marketing decision.
You will partner closely with the sales team to align on pipeline goals, analyze lead quality and conversion data, and translate what's working in the market into smarter programs.
This role carries the full scope and accountability of a Head of Marketing, structured as a fractional engagement to match where we are as a business today.

 
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Team Leadership — Run and Direct the Marketing Function
  • Set team structure, roles, and performance expectations — and enforce them
  • Run team rituals: weekly standups, sprint planning, monthly reviews, and quarterly planning
  • Be the person the team rallies around — the decision-maker who unblocks, redirects, and leads
  • Build a culture of strategic execution: every tactic should ladder to a clear business outcome
Sales Partnership & Pipeline Alignment
  • Partner directly with the sales team to align on MQL/SQL definitions, pipeline targets, and feedback loops
  • Participate in sales-marketing syncs to understand what's working in the field and what isn't
  • Build programs that directly support the sales motion — from top-of-funnel awareness to late-stage enablement
  • Ensure marketing and sales are operating from the same playbook on ICP, messaging, and timing
  • Hold joint accountability with sales leadership for pipeline contribution and funnel conversion
Lead Analysis & Data-Driven Recommendations
  • Analyze the full lead funnel: volume, source, quality, conversion rates, time-to-close, and cost per acquisition
  • Identify where leads are breaking down and make data-backed recommendations to fix it
  • Track and report pipeline influence and channel performance
  • Present regular performance updates to executive leadership with clear findings and a recommended path forward
  • Use insights from lead and sales data to continuously refine targeting, messaging, and channel mix
Marketing Strategy — The Strategic Thinker Behind Every Decision
  • Set the overall marketing strategy aligned to revenue, pipeline, and brand goals — not just a plan, but a point of view
  • Define positioning, messaging, and go-to-market approach across segments and channels
  • Advise executive leadership on market trends, competitive shifts, and growth opportunities
  • Make the call on where to invest, where to pull back, and why — and defend it with data
  • Build and maintain the quarterly and annual marketing roadmap with clear milestones and owners
Demand Generation & Growth Programs
  • Own the full demand gen engine: SEO, paid media, email, content, events, and partnerships
  • Build programs that generate qualified pipeline, not just volume, but the right leads at the right time
  • Optimize the funnel from first touch through to closed-won, in lockstep with sales
  • Set attribution models and ensure marketing impact is visible, credible, and tied to revenue
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • 8–12+ years of marketing experience, with meaningful time running a team as a senior leader or head of marketing
  • Demonstrated ability to direct, manage, and develop a marketing team, this is a people leadership role, not a solo contributor role
  • Deep fluency in demand generation, lead analysis, and revenue marketing, you speak the language of the revenue team
  • A strategic thinker first: you bring recommendations, not just reports and you can back every recommendation with data
  • Strong sales-marketing partnership experience; you've built the alignment, not just described it
  • Comfortable in the C-suite: you present to leadership with confidence, clarity, and a clear point of view
  • Experience in B2B SaaS or tech-enabled services
  • Fractional or consulting background a plus
  • NYC-based required for in-person collaboration with the leadership team
